The Hart Freshman Team played a make up pre-season scrimmage game on March 12, 2005, against the Golden Valley, Grizzles. Hart won 11-0 in the fifth.

Hart's bats were flying. Ben Nicewicz had two hits, accounting for two RBI's, one of which was a solid in the park homerun, and a sacrifice fly with an RBI. Garrett Bailey added to the cause, when he drilled one which was also an in the park homerun resulting in two RBI's and a sacrifice fly generating a RBI. Derek Bickford had three hits and two RBI's. B.R. Holbrook and Justin Fishman both had hits and drove in runs. Danny Susdorf assisted with two hits. Johnathan Chiusano and Trevor Matern both had hits. Bryan Lucas accounted for an RBI with a sacrifice fly.

The pitchers contributed heavily to the overall success as well. Michael Montgomery started and pitched two innings allowing no hits and striking out three. Patrick Bailey came in relief and pitched two innings allowing one hit and had a strike out as well. Chris Tarello came in to close out the game allowing no hits and striking out one.
