Hart beats the Valencia Vikings 4-2.

The standout player of the game was Casey McCarthy. He pitched seven complete innings allowing five hits, striking out two, allowing one run, no walks, all with a pitch count of 80.

He was assisted by the offense who managed to collect eight hits. Trevor Matern and Danny Susdorf both went 2 for 3. Spencer Moniz, BR Holbrook, Tyler Eyrich and Bryan Lucas all came through with hits as well. Spencer Moniz layed down a nice bunt to advance the runner and with some good hustle managed to get to first safely. RBI's went to Derek Bickford, Trevor Matern, Tyler Eyrich and BR Holbrook. Trevor Matern and Bryan Lucas each had a stolen base.

There were some timely defensive plays which dashed the Vikings hopes of scoring additional runs. The Vikings battled and had runners in scoring position, but Hart's defense played tough and made some timely outs. In the fifth, they turned a double play to end the inning preventing them from scoring. In the seventh, Trevor Matern fielded a grounder at short and managed to freeze the lead runner. He tossed the ball to Justin Fishman at third, who ran the runner down to get the out.
