Hart vs. West Ranch
The Hart Indians managed to squeak out a victory over the West Ranch, Wildcats,
8-7.
There was a delay in the game as a result of a lighting malfunction which caused
the game to be called in the sixth due to time. In the sixth, the Wildcats were
threatening to tie the game up, but the Indians managed to get the final out to hold onto a
victory. Hart's defense committed a number of errors which allowed five unearned runs.
Casey McCarthy pitched the first four innings and allowed four hits, struck out
four, walked one and hit one batter. In the fifth, Patrick Bailey came in to
close out the game. He allowed only one hit and walked one batter.
The Indians offense was much more productive. Bryan Lucas led the charge going
3 for 4. He had two doubles and a single along with two RBI's. He was assisted
by Garrett Bailey who had two singles and an RBI. Danny Susdorf had a single
and a sacrifice fly which generated an RBI. Derek Bickford also had a single
and a RBI. Justin Fishman came through with two sacrifice flies generating two
RBI's. BR Holbrook had two singles, Trevor Matern had a single and a double and
Spencer Moniz also came through with a single as well.
