Casey McCarthy got the start for Hart and pitched six and two thirds innings. His pitching and defense was outstanding. He allowed four hits, struck out six, allowed three runs and hit one batter. In the first inning, he recorded two of the three outs. In the third inning, he out did himself by contributed to all three outs. He fielded a comebacker threw to first to get the runner, who got caught of the bag. He then struck out the next batter. In the seventh, McCarthy allowed an in the park home run by Tyler Brubaker who drove in all three runs for Saugus. With two outs, Chris Tarello was asked to come in and get the final out. He struck out the batter to end the game.

Hart's offense generated ten hits and were able to advance runners at the right time to set up their scoring opportunities. Hits go to Spencer Moniz who had three hits and 2 RBI's, Ben Nicewitz had two hits and a RBI, Tyler Eyrick had two hits and a stolen base, Garrett Bailey had a hit and a stolen base, Bryan Lucas had a hit, stolen base and threw out a runner from behind the plate, who was trying to steal second base. Trevor Matern also had a hit and a RBI, Derek Bickford contributed with a sacrifice fly to generate a RBI and was intentionally walked. He then stole second base.
