Getting back to Foothill league action after the long spring break, Hart traveled to Canyon today hoping to add to their Foothill league win column. Unfortunately for the Indians, it was a long day as they dropped the game to the Cowboys by a score of 10-4. Hart was really never in the game as they spotted Canyon an 8 run lead after 4 innings of play. On a windy day , Hart was not able to capitalize offensively, generating only 4 runs on a day when they had 11 hits. Adam Reyes, Jake Hovis, Alex Pettee, and Jason Rehhaut led the Indian offense, each getting 2 hits. Starter Tim Plante, went 3 2/3 innings , taking his first Foothill league loss of the year.

Hart was held scoreless through the first 4 innings of play. Trailing 8-0 entering the top half of the 5th, Hart finally got on the board , plating 3 runs in the inning on Singles by Adam Reyes, Alex Pettee, and Jason Rehaut. The Indians scored again the top of the 7th inning. Andrew Marin singled to left field to lead off the inning. Alex Pettee doubled putting runners on 2nd and 3rd with no outs. Rehaut then followed with a sacrifice fly to score the Indians last run of the day to make the final score Canyon 10, Hart 4.

With the loss , the Indians are now 9-4 on the season and 2-2 in Foothill league play. After a non-league doubleheader today vs. Golden Valley, Hart resumes action against Saugus. Hart will be at home on Tuesday for a 3:15 start.
