Hart vs. Burbank

Traveling to Burbank for their final game of the season, the Hart JV Baseball closed out their 2005 baseball campaign with an 8-2 win over Burbank High. The Indians unleashed an 11 hit attack in support of Pitchers Tim Plante and Alex Pettee who held Burbank to only 2 runs. Leading Hitters on the day were Jason Rehhaut, Adam Reyes , and Jake Hovis. Hovis had 2 hits including a double and 2 rbis. Rehhaut and Reyes each had 2 singles.

After Burbank held a 1-0 lead going into the top of the 3rd, Hart knotted up the score in the 3rd getting a run without a hit. Tim Plante reached base on a error and then advanced to third after a wild pitch and a Sacrifice bunt by Reyes. Plante scored courtesy of a fielding error of a ball hit by Logan Foley. In the 4th, Hart put 4 runs on the board, which eventually decided the outcome of the game. Hart's first 3 hitters reached base safely to lead off the inning. Alex Pettte was hit by a pitch, Jason Rehhaut followed with a single to center, and then Mike Cieszko reached base on a error by the pitcher. Alex Pettee scored the first run of the inning, scoring on a fielders Choice by Tim Plante. Hart then strung together 3 consecutive singles by Reyes, Foley , and Jake Hovis to score 3 more times to lead 5-1 after 3 1/2 innings of play.

Hart scored their final runs of the day in the 6th. Brian Klocko led off by reaching base on an error. After Klocko stole second, Tim Plante had an rbi single to put Hart ahead 6-1. Adam Reyes then singled to put 2 runners on with no outs. Jake Hovis then came up and drove a double to left center field to score Reyes. Hart's final run of the day then scored when Mattie Hernandez drove a ball to right center field for an rbi single to score Hovis and make the score 8-1. After Pettee allowed a single Burbank run in the 6th, both teams went down quietly in the 7th to finish the game and end the season .

With the Win, Hart ends up 9-6 in Foothill league action.
