Game Highlights

Hart vs. Thousand Oaks and Camarillo

Hart got off on the right foot by setting a winning tone as they beat Thousand Oaks 9-5 and Camarillo 9-3. The star hitter on the Day was Junior Pat Sarkissian who was 4 for 5 with a walk, double, homer and 5 RBI on the day. He was 2 for 2, and an RBI vs TO, and followed up going 2 for 3 with a Double and 3 run Homer and 4 RBI against Camarillo. In the first game Hart had doubles by Matt Valaika, Ryan Gagnon, and Matt Sreden. Tyler Fick started against TO. He pitched 4 innings giving up just 1 hit (a Homer). Tyler struck out 3 and got the win. Steve Burton pitched the last 3 innings. After a shakey start in the 5th, he finished up getting the last 7 hitters.

Tyler Lyon started the 2nd game against Camarillo. In the 1st, after 2 out he gave up 2 infield singles and a wild pitch for a run, but thereafter gave up only 1 hit in his 4 innings for the Win. Donny Williams relieved in the 5th. He pitched 2 great innings then gave up 2 infield hits and 2 walks and a hit batter for 2 runs in the bottom of the 7th as Hart cruised to the 9-3 win. Hart fielders helped out playing errorless ball in both games.

Hart opens up the season Friday 3/4/2005 at Hart vs. Alemany at 3:15pm in the Easton Southern California Showdown Tournament. Hart then plays the next day (Saturday) at Moorpark at 11AM. Hart has only played Alemany 1 time since 1987. That was in 1999 and it was also the season opener, played at Alemany. In 1999, Hart went all the way to win the Southern Section Championship, capping the season off with a 10-9 win against Righetti at Anaheim Stadium on June 5, 1999.
